Andrew in Jaipur
Andrew has been travelling to Jaipur for over 40 years. This picture was taken in April. It is a very hot month in Jaipur and the temperature rarely goes below 40 (104 F) - you can see the bright white desert light in the photo below (notice the person to the left in the shade - very sensible). This photo was taken at the entrance to one of the old Royal Palaces. Andrew walks by here each day on his way to the workshops.
Andrew spent most of his time (as usual) looking at gems. Here he is looking at a new batch of Peridot that just came in. It has been pre-selected by our partners in Jaipur so there are rarely any issues.
Rainbow Moonstone! We can never get enough when it comes to fine quality faceted Rainbow and are always on the hunt for it.
Inspecting the Showstopper Ring and other items for our May 25th TSC Show. What you see here is just a small percentage of the new items we will be showing on The Shopping Channel on May 25th.
While our jewellers are very vigilant to make sure that every gemstone is inspected and all items are of excellent sterling silver quality, Andrew likes to be there to make sure that everything has been done to Himalayan Gems' exacting quality standards.
Of course there is always time to get out into the city and enjoy vibrant life in the bazaars of old Jaipur! You have to love all of the vibrant colours!
