Himalayan Gems is a Canadian owned company & all orders are shipped from Toronto, Canada.

It was 1975 when Andrew Stone first visited India and the Himalayas. In those days it was part of the “Hippie Trail” where the Woodstock generation travelled in search of adventure. This was the beginning of a love affair with these ancient cultures.

In 1983 Andrew started his jewelry business with a high school  friend  –  they concentrated on working with traditional silversmiths, gemstone cutters and beaders who used traditional techniques perfected over centuries. The ancestors of these craftspeople worked for centuries under royal patronage creating fabulous examples of the jewelers’ art.

For the first 30+ years our jewelry was sold to wholesale clients ranging from small boutiques to major Television retailers. Now, for the first time, Himalayan Gems is being offered directly to the public – at substantial savings.

Andrew still travels the world working with our long-time jewelers and seeking out new gemstones.
